As a classically trained pianist and jazz singer, nica unfug moved to Hamburg in search of a musician who shared her enthusiasm for experimental electronic sound design. She quickly connected with the Hamburg producer flaneur2. Besides their musical preferences, the two also share a multicultural upbringing: Russian-Kazakh-German and Indian-German. This background is reflected in the themes of their songs and language. "Hübsch" is the title of their first collaborative EP, which combines melancholic vocals, experimentally atmospheric synth sounds, and hard electronic beats.
